With Heavy Hearts, we regret the news of one of Baja Safari's Great Patrons, Senor Bob, Bob Van Wormer, passed last week.

Baja Legend, Senor Bob Van Wormer has passed into History.

Over the many years Baja Safari brought new products and services to our publics, Senor Bob was always the wise and enthusiastic guidance our Members most respected.

Bob's joy and appreciation of the simple things in life and his hands-on educated knowledge of the people and land of Baja Mexico, is already greatly missed.

Baja Race Chase 2010, Baja Safari Rocks Off-Road!

Baja Safari announced today its biggest, baddest Baja Race Chase for the 2010 event. The semi-annual peninsula long off-road race in the deserts of Baja Mexico. In November of 2010, the RED BULL Baja Safari Mexico Club BAJA RACE CHASE will offer another FREE Race Chase for its Members.

"We will end up at the race related fiestas and celebrations in La Paz in 2010 and we'll enjoy the "Epic Off-road, Fishing and Nightlife" of the Cabo Safari Ranch, to finish the race this year", said the coordinator of the 2010 Race Chase. He continued, "We won't miss any of the race-life for this bigger than life race, historic desert racing event".

During the last peninsula run, in 2007, MONSTER Baja Safari hit all the spots and didn't miss any of the action over the entire course.

With NOS High Performance Energy Drink we hit Ensenada, Loreto and La Paz and even Cabo. We bumped into Andy McMillin at the Survivors Event in La Paz, Mouse (Dust To Glory) at the Cameron Steele party, Scott McMillin of the 2007 Overall Champion McMillan Racing Team and family at the Hotel California and Eric Solorzano at El Coyote Playa.


With the Baja 1000 for 2010 going the entire Baja peninsula, Members of the Baja Safari Club have another rare, one-of-a-kind and exclusive chance to live the racing life of the desert offroad of Baja California, Mexico!

Jimmy Smith Explorations Announced

Baja Safari will publish its "Jimmy Smith Explorations". This Fall 2010, after years of digitizing and miles of Baja California Sur Explorations, Baja Safari is proud to publish the "Explorations", a storied group of travels and discoveries of the extreme southern Baja Mexico peninsula with Don Jimmy Smith.

As Baja Safari members explored southern Baja for commercial and educational resources at the turn of the last century, Jimmy Smith guided and collaborated with the leadership of the club. Join us, as we share the land south of La Paz with the people of the South Seas, the discoveries that shook the scientific world, alongside Don Jimmy.



From the "trailer out back" to the soaring peaks high above the Cape of San Lucas. Joining Baja Safari are the Cousteau Baja Trips, Mitch Parr, Bob Van Wormer and the Pericue medicine men.

While the X generation fads spent their treasure on the soiled streets at Lands End, Baja Safari members became blood brothers with the land & people of the "Two Seas". 'Explorations' will reach across the Pacific Ocean and into the deepest Baja oceanic canyons, seeking Bold Adventure!
